The system is ideal for any commercial
facility that does not have a sewer connection. For systems with a design flow
of less than 20,000 L/day, standard Waterloo Biofilter treatment modules are 7.5' diameter by 9' high
polyethylene (PE) tanks rated at ~5,000 L/day each. For systems with a design flow >20,000 L/day, standard Waterloo Biofilter treatment modules are 40' or 20' length by 8' wide by 8' high modified ISO
Shipping Containers (SC), which are rated at 40,000 L/day and 20,000 L/day, respectively. Below ground systems consist of
Bulk Filled concrete tanks or wire mesh baskets, and can treat up to 10,000 L/day. These units utilize active air circulation and an innovative design that is ideal for high-strength wastewater and for sensitive areas requiring nitrogen removal.
