Recently, a golf course development company with over 30 courses and several golf resorts chose
Waterloo Biofilter as their sole source for their wastewater treatment. The attraction is our simple design of phosphorus removal in septic tanks, passive aeration in Biofilters, ammonium (NH3) & total nitrogen (TN) removal, UV disinfection, and our custom remote monitoring system. The treated effluent exceeds compliance criteria and allows the golf courses to
re-use this resource for irrigation. Waterloo Biofilter Systems has gone on to provide systems for other golf courses with options for either surface or subsurface disposal as well as re-use applications.
